Analogue Photography Course
SAT 11TH & SUN 12TH JANUARY 2025 10AM-4PM
Join us over two days to learn the fundamentals of working in black and white analogue photography.
Day One AM: Photography Walk. In our small group we will enjoy a photo walk around Lewes where you will shoot a roll of film whilst learning to feel confident using your camera. During this session you will gain an understanding of ISO’s, apertures, shutter speeds and metering. (Please note that for the evening classes this first session is run on the Saturday before the regular Wednesday classes)
Day One PM: Film Processing. Learn how to develop your film in the darkroom using photographic chemicals.
Day Two: Step into darkroom! In the final two weeks you will be working in the darkroom to make contact prints of your film and then final prints of your chosen negatives. You will learn how to use the De Vere enlargers and we will cover a range of printing techniques including test strips, dodging / burning, graded filters & paper types.
You are welcome to use your own film camera or borrow one, I have 35mm & medium format available, choice on a first come first served basis.
Class size of 3
If these dates don’t work do get in touch to register your interest and see what we can make happen in the future.
